Park and Recreation Capital Improvement Program
Nevada County, through its Community Development Agency, is soliciting applications for funding under the Park and Recreation Capital Improvement Program, supported by development impact fees collected pursuant to California Government Code Section 66000–66025, also known as the Mitigation Fee Act. These funds are designated for capital improvements that expand or enhance public park and recreation facilities within designated benefit zones. Eligible projects include construction of new recreation facilities, expansion or upgrade of existing facilities, land acquisition, trails, playgrounds, community buildings, and similar infrastructure improvements. Funding must directly address increased demand generated by new development and align with the Recreation and Resiliency Master Plan. Eligible applicants include counties, cities, nonprofit organizations, and other municipal public entities with recreation facilities open to the general public. Awards will be determined through a competitive evaluation process and approved by the Nevada County Board of Supervisors.
