WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of Morgan Hill is seeking a parks and recreation planning firm to update its Parks and Recreation Master Plan for 2028 through 2038. The plan will give the City a realistic, community-supported ten-year roadmap for parks, recreational amenities, open space, trails and programs, replacing the combined Bikeways, Trails, Parks and Recreation Master Plan adopted in 2017. The City faces tight maintenance budgets and increasing community diversity with evolving recreation expectations, so the plan must favor preserving existing assets, maximizing cost recovery and keeping new capital additions fiscally sustainable. On-street bikeways are excluded because the City's 2025 Transportation Master Plan already covers them, but off-street trails and creek corridors remain in scope.
