Participatory Budgeting Cycle Two Implementation: Community Engagement, Facilitation, and Grant Writing Support
The County of Marin Office of Equity is seeking qualified consultants or organizations to support the implementation of Cycle Two of its Participatory Budgeting initiative. This effort aims to deepen community involvement in public decision-making by allowing residents to directly influence how public funds are allocated. The selected contractors will provide services across three key areas: community engagement, design and implementation, facilitation of the Participatory Budgeting Committee, and grant writing assistance with technical support. The project emphasizes inclusive, culturally responsive engagement strategies, particularly targeting historically underrepresented communities. Contractors will conduct outreach, facilitate meetings, support proposal development, and build community capacity to participate effectively in government processes. This initiative builds upon a successful first cycle and seeks to expand equitable participation, strengthen community trust, and ensure transparent and impactful allocation of public resources across Marin County.
