Pavement Condition Data Collection and Analysis
The City of Sacramento is seeking a qualified consulting firm to perform pavement condition data collection and analysis services to support management of the City’s roadway infrastructure. The consultant will conduct automated or hybrid pavement distress surveys across approximately 630 lane miles annually, covering arterial, collector, and residential streets over a four-year cycle. Work includes identifying surface distresses in accordance with ASTM D6433 standards, collecting roadway and segment data, and calculating Pavement Condition Index values. The selected firm will enter survey results into the City’s StreetSaver pavement management database and ensure data quality through a formal quality control plan and certified raters. Services also include technical reporting, budget scenario development, maintenance and rehabilitation strategy modeling, GIS integration, and preparation of management-level pavement condition reports. The project supports the City’s resurfacing program planning and long-term infrastructure sustainability goals.
