Pre-Employment Background Investigation Services
The County of San Mateo Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified vendors to provide comprehensive pre-employment background investigation services for professional staff candidates. The selected contractor will conduct detailed background investigations to evaluate the suitability, reliability, and integrity of applicants for non-sworn positions within the Sheriff’s Office. Services may include verification of employment and education history, reference checks, criminal history reviews, and other investigative activities necessary to assess a candidate’s eligibility for employment in a public safety environment. The objective of this procurement is to ensure that hiring decisions are supported by thorough and professional investigations that uphold the standards of integrity and accountability expected in law enforcement agencies. The contractor will work with the Sheriff’s Office Professional Standards Bureau to deliver timely and accurate investigative reports that support compliant and informed hiring processes.
