The County of San Mateo Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified vendors to provide professional psychological examination and evaluation services in support of its hiring and personnel management processes. The selected contractor will conduct pre-employment psychological assessments for prospective law enforcement personnel to determine suitability for duty in accordance with California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training POST regulations. Services will also include fitness-for-duty psychological evaluations for current employees when necessary, as well as psychological assessments related to Carry Concealed Weapon CCW permit applicants. Vendors will administer psychological testing, conduct clinical interviews, and prepare detailed written evaluation reports to support the Sheriff’s Office in maintaining a qualified and psychologically fit public safety workforce.
