Prevent and Reduce the Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences Through Building Resiliency
Kitsap County Commission on Children and Youth is requesting proposals from organizations and youth-serving agencies to implement programs that prevent and reduce the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences by strengthening resiliency among children and youth in Kitsap County. The initiative supports services that help youth ages birth through eighteen develop protective factors and positive developmental assets that mitigate the long-term effects of trauma abuse neglect and household stressors. Eligible projects may include youth leadership development community mentoring early childhood mental health services parent and caregiver education suicide prevention initiatives and collaborative interventions among educators youth service providers and mental health professionals. The County will provide public matching funds for programs that can demonstrate a one-hundred percent match using private funding sources. Programs should demonstrate measurable outcomes community collaboration and sustainability beyond the funding period.
