The City of Newport Beach is seeking qualified and independent Certified Public Accounting firms to provide annual financial statement audit services and related professional accounting guidance. The selected firm will conduct audits of the City’s financial statements, prepare the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Governmental Accounting Standards Board requirements, and federal Uniform Guidance. The scope includes performing single audits of federal awards, reviewing internal controls, issuing required audit reports, and providing ongoing advisory support on governmental accounting practices. The engagement supports the City’s financial reporting excellence goals.
