The State of California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking qualified consultants to provide professional environmental services supporting projects at correctional facilities across the state. The selected consultant will assist CDCR with environmental planning, regulatory compliance, and preparation of documentation required under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and other federal and state environmental laws. Services include preparing environmental impact reports, initial studies, mitigated negative declarations, and related environmental documentation for construction, expansion, renovation, or operational changes at correctional facilities. The consultant will also conduct environmental studies addressing topics such as air quality, water quality, biological resources, cultural resources, noise, traffic, hazardous materials, hydrology, and climate change. Additional responsibilities include supporting mitigation monitoring programs, coordinating with regulatory agencies, securing permits, and providing technical assistance on environmental compliance issues. The consultant may also support public outreach, public hearings, and regulatory coordination for environmental approvals. These services will be provided on an on-call basis to support capital improvement, infrastructure, and operational projects across CDCR facilities statewide.
