Professional Services for Fair Housing Program
The City of Norwalk is seeking qualified organizations to develop, implement, and administer a comprehensive Fair Housing Program funded through Community Development Block Grant funds. The selected contractor will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services including public education on fair housing laws, outreach initiatives, complaint intake and investigation, enforcement support, and landlord-tenant dispute resolution. The program aims to promote equal housing opportunities, prevent discrimination, and ensure compliance with federal regulations such as the Fair Housing Act. Additional responsibilities include conducting workshops, producing multilingual educational materials, engaging in community outreach, and providing legal or mediation support for discrimination cases. The contractor must also track program performance, support compliance reporting, and collaborate with the City on fair housing planning efforts. The initial contract term is three years with possible extensions.
