Provision of Interpreter and Language Service Providers
The City of Bremerton is seeking qualified contractors to provide professional interpreter and translation services for the Bremerton Municipal Court. The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to improve access to court services and public information for individuals with limited English proficiency and for those who are deaf or hard of hearing. Services include on-site interpretation, remote interpretation via phone or video platforms, written document translation, transcription, and related linguistic consulting. Interpreters must meet Washington State Administrative Office of the Courts credentialing requirements as Certified or Registered Court Interpreters, in compliance with Revised Code of Washington 2.43 and the Bremerton Municipal Court Language Assistance Plan. The resulting contract is anticipated to span three years (2026–2028), and the City may award multiple service agreements. Proposals will be evaluated based on qualifications, scope of work approach, and cost.

Proposal Submission
Proposals may be submitted by mail, in person, or via email. Physical submissions must be delivered on March 6, 2026, between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to the Bremerton Government Center, 345 6th Street, Suite 100, Bremerton, WA 98337, Attn: Melinda Monroe. Email submissions must be sent in PDF format (not exceeding 10 MB, zipped) to melinda.monroe@ci.bremerton.wa.us with the RFP title in the subject line.
