WHAT THEY WANT

(Summarized from the RFP)

The Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians is seeking qualifications from architectural and engineering consulting teams to provide comprehensive design services for the Dillon Road Bridge Replacement and Road Widening Project in Coachella, California (Riverside County). The project involves widening the Dillon Road corridor between SR 86 and Cabazon Road to six lanes and replacing the existing structurally deficient bridge over the Whitewater River, which has a sufficiency rating of 16.6, is scour critical, and does not meet current geometric, safety, bicycle, or pedestrian standards. The ultimate build-out envisions a six-lane major arterial corridor with multimodal accommodations and a six-lane bridge. The project has been determined to be a NEPA Categorical Exclusion under 23 USC 237.
