Restorative Intervention for Young People at Risk of Gun Violence
King County is seeking a qualified community provider to deliver restorative gun violence prevention and intervention programming for young people involved in or at risk of involvement in gun-related offenses within the juvenile legal system. The program will focus on addressing the root causes of youth gun violence by offering group-based curriculum and individualized support that promotes conflict resolution, positive decision-making, and personal development. Services will be delivered through culturally responsive approaches led by credible messengers with lived experience. The contractor will facilitate group programming, mentorship, family engagement, and connections to community resources including education, housing, and employment support. The initiative aligns with King County’s Equity and Social Justice Initiative and aims to reduce youth gun violence through community-based strategies and restorative practices.
