Review Officer for Admissions and Professional Conduct Advisory Committee Meetings
The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) is seeking a qualified attorney or adjudicator to serve as the Review Officer for Admissions and Professional Conduct Advisory Committee meetings. The Review Officer will coordinate with OSPI Legal Affairs, Assistant Attorneys General, committee members, appellants, and counsel; review case files scheduled for committee consideration; preside over virtual meetings held via Zoom (typically the first Wednesday in May and November); consider committee recommendations; and make and communicate decisions on each case. The contractor will also prepare, review, and sign Final Orders (and any Amended Final Orders) and support wrap‑up activities after meetings. The engagement requires an active Washington State Bar license and experience in civil or administrative legal proceedings, with preference for administrative litigation and knowledge of the Washington Administrative Procedure Act and educator standards of conduct. The initial contract term is approximately April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027, with potential extensions at OSPI’s discretion.
