WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The Washington State Department of Transportation is seeking bidders to design, develop, implement, operate and maintain four or more Roadway Toll Systems across Washington, awarding two independent contracts through one RFP. The Open Road Tolling contract covers a program host plus four facilities: replacement of the SR 520 and SR 99 toll systems, a new SR 167 East of I-5 facility, and replacement of the I-405 Bellevue to Lynnwood express toll lane system, with eligibility for future statewide projects. The Side-Fire contract begins with a side-fire-only proof of concept and may receive future facilities depending on results. The contracts may go to the same or different bidders.
