Service Aera 2A: Justice Involved Youth Services
The County of Santa Cruz Probation Department is seeking qualified youth-serving organizations to deliver community-based, art-focused family engagement programs for justice-involved youth and emerging adults. The services aim to strengthen family relationships, improve communication, and promote positive developmental outcomes while reducing recidivism. Programs should be culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in evidence-based or promising practices. The selected provider will design and facilitate creative, collaborative activities such as guided art projects and culturally relevant experiences that support emotional expression and pro-social engagement. Services must align with the County’s juvenile probation goals, including family-centered support, diversion from deeper system involvement, and improved well-being. The program is expected to create inclusive environments that reflect the cultural identities and languages of participants, incorporate youth and family feedback, and demonstrate measurable outcomes related to family functioning and youth development.
