Service Area 2B: Justice-InvolvedYouth Services
The County of Santa Cruz Probation Department is seeking a qualified organization to provide in‑custody family engagement services for justice‑involved youth housed in Juvenile Hall. The selected contractor will deliver trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate programming that strengthens family connections and supports youth rehabilitation. Services are designed to improve youth well‑being, reduce recidivism, and promote long‑term positive outcomes by increasing meaningful family participation during detention. Activities will include structured family engagement sessions, shared meals, education and skill‑building components, and pro‑social activities selected by youth and families. The program must align with evidence‑based practices, restorative approaches, and the County’s strategic priorities around equity, family engagement, and community reintegration. Services will be delivered primarily in person at the Juvenile Hall facility, with limited virtual components as appropriate, and are intended to supplement standard visitation by providing individualized, family‑centered support.
