Service Area 3A: Justice-Involved Youth Services
The County of Santa Cruz Probation Department is seeking qualified organizations to deliver culturally responsive, evidence‑informed community‑based services for justice‑involved youth and emerging adults. The services are intended to reduce recidivism, strengthen family and community connections, and improve social, educational, and vocational outcomes. Under Service Area 3a, the County is procuring programs that address cognitive and behavioral interventions, parent and youth mediation, victim impact awareness, and restorative justice practices. Programs should align with evidence‑based risk, need, and responsivity principles and support moderate‑ to high‑risk youth in community or custodial settings. Services must be culturally competent, trauma‑informed, and responsive to the diverse needs of the population, including multilingual and multicultural mediation. The selected provider will collaborate with probation staff and system partners, collect outcome data, and deliver measurable improvements in youth behavior, accountability, and family engagement. The initiative is part of the County’s broader strategy to promote public safety, equity, and long‑term positive outcomes for justice‑involved youth.
