Service Area 5: Justice-Involved Youth Services
The County of Santa Cruz Probation Department is seeking qualified organizations to provide community-based services for justice-involved youth and emerging adults. The selected provider will deliver culturally responsive, evidence-informed programs that promote health, nutrition, gardening, and culinary skills. The goal is to improve well-being, life skills, and educational or vocational outcomes while reducing recidivism and strengthening family and community connections. Services must align with the County’s juvenile justice framework, including risk-needs-responsivity principles, trauma-informed practices, and equity-focused strategies. Programs may be delivered in community settings or in custody and should target moderate- to high-risk youth. Proposals must demonstrate measurable outcomes, collaboration with probation staff and community partners, and the use of evidence-based or promising practices.
