Specialized Mentor Academy BIPOC Cohorts
The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction seeks a qualified consultant to support the professional growth of teacher mentors and induction specialists in service of educational equity. The contractor will partner with the Beginning Educator Support Team and the Office of Native Education to recruit and select participants for three specialized mentor academies: a Black Indigenous People of Color mentor cohort, a Black Indigenous People of Color school counselor mentor cohort, and an Indigenous educator mentor cohort. The contractor will manage participant communications and event logistics, coordinate schedules with program staff and mentor faculty, and track participant engagement across eight scheduled sessions. The contractor must also issue stipends to eligible participants who meet participation requirements and provide assigned learning resources to participants. The work includes collecting and analyzing participant and academy data to help measure impact and learner growth, along with other duties as requested by the agency.
