Standard of Cover Assessment for Fire and Emergency Medical Services
Kittitas County is soliciting qualifications from experienced consulting firms to conduct a comprehensive Standard of Cover assessment for fire and emergency medical services countywide. The project will develop a unified, data-driven analysis of how emergency services are organized, staffed, deployed, and performing across all participating agencies. The scope includes demographic and hazard analysis, dispatch and response time evaluation, geographic information systems mapping, and assessment of mutual-aid agreements. The selected consultant will evaluate compliance with National Fire Protection Association Standards 1710 and 1720, analyze station and apparatus distribution, assess effective response force deployment, and identify system deficiencies. Deliverables include GIS-based visualizations and a final report for accreditation and strategic planning.
