The City of Vancouver is seeking qualified firms or individuals to provide on-call structural plan review and related professional consulting services. The City’s Community and Economic Development Department requires third-party expertise to review large or complex building projects when internal capacity is limited. Services include detailed structural analysis of new and remodeled buildings, including high-rise structures and projects with complex soil conditions, to ensure compliance with applicable building codes, engineering standards, and local and state amendments. Consultants will review technical reports, structural calculations, and construction documents and provide clear, code-based review comments. Additional responsibilities include advising City staff on structural code interpretation, conducting research, participating in meetings, and ensuring the timely completion of reviews. The City may award multiple contracts and does not guarantee a minimum workload.
