Training, Technical Assistance and Capacity Building
The City of Oakland, through its Department of Violence Prevention (DVP), is seeking qualified consultants or organizations to provide training, technical assistance, project management, and capacity building services to strengthen community violence intervention efforts. The selected contractor will support the development and implementation of a Community Violence Intervention Training Institute, including the Oakland Peace Academy fellowship program. Services include designing and coordinating comprehensive training programs, facilitating professional and leadership development, managing subcontracted training providers, and supporting certification opportunities in areas such as coaching, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral interventions, and trauma-informed practices. The consultant will also provide project management oversight and foster collaborative learning environments for DVP-funded community-based organizations.
