The City of Cupertino is seeking qualified consultants to develop a comprehensive Urban Forest Master Plan to replace its existing Urban Forest Work Plan. The new plan will address all trees within the community, including public and private trees, and align with the City’s General Plan, Climate Action Plan, and Green Stormwater Infrastructure Plan. The selected consultant will conduct a detailed urban tree canopy assessment using high-resolution imagery and LiDAR data, evaluate existing policies and ordinances, update the Master Street Tree List, and assess the City’s Tree and Right-of-Way Division structure, staffing, and funding. The project includes stakeholder engagement, multilingual community outreach, public workshops, and development of performance metrics to guide long-term urban forest management citywide.
