Veteran and Veteran Families' Outpatient Behavioral Health Services
Pierce County is seeking qualified providers to deliver outpatient behavioral health services for indigent veterans and their families. The goal of this procurement is to expand access to mental health and substance use treatment, promote recovery and long-term stability, and reduce reliance on crisis and inpatient care. Services may include psychiatric evaluations, individual and group therapy, case management, and support for uninsured or underinsured individuals who fall outside traditional coverage systems. The County emphasizes trauma-informed care, suicide prevention strategies, and coordination with existing systems such as the Department of Veterans Affairs and community providers. Programs should demonstrate measurable outcomes, including improved health, reduced social isolation, and increased access to timely care. This initiative is funded through a combination of Behavioral Health and Therapeutic Courts tax revenue and Veterans Relief Funds, with a focus on addressing service gaps and improving quality of life for veterans and their families across Pierce County.
