Veterinary Electronic Health Record System Fiscal Year 2026
The University of Washington is seeking information from qualified vendors to provide a Veterinary Electronic Health Record (VEHR) system to support its Animal Care and Use Program (ACUP) and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC). The goal is to implement a secure, user-friendly, and integrated platform that can manage clinical records, workflows, compliance documentation, and reporting for a wide range of animal research activities. The system should replace existing fragmented solutions, including paper-based records and legacy systems, while enabling integration with institutional platforms such as Workday and regulatory systems. The solution must support multi-species tracking, workflow automation, data analytics, and regulatory compliance. This Request for Information (RFI) is intended to gather vendor capabilities, technical approaches, and pricing insights to inform a potential future Request for Proposal (RFP). The University aims to improve operational efficiency, enhance compliance, reduce risk, and support long-term research infrastructure resilience.
