The Washington State Potato Commission is seeking a qualified individual or firm to serve as a Water Specialist providing water consultation services across Washington State. The specialist will represent the commission in addressing water issues impacting the Washington potato industry and will work as a technical advisor and strategic partner on water resource management, policy development, and agricultural resilience. The work requires advanced expertise in water resources, irrigation, or agricultural sustainability; strong experience coordinating across agencies and stakeholders; and the ability to translate complex technical and regulatory information into clear, actionable policy and communication materials. Work priorities may evolve in response to changing state, regional, and federal water policy, planning, and funding conditions, so adaptability is required. The anticipated contract award date is April 8, 2026, with a twelve-month term and optional extensions.
