WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of San Diego Public Utilities Department is seeking a single vendor to supply, install and support the flow monitoring equipment, software and services behind its wastewater collection system program. The City operates approximately 163 flow monitoring sites, mostly inside manholes three to thirty feet deep across canyons, roadways, riverbanks, military installations and pump stations. The program supports three functions: an Event Notification System that gives real-time early warning of potential sewer overflows so crews can be dispatched, billing and reporting for participating agencies, and sewer modeling.
