WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The City of Chino, California, seeks a qualified Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to run its workers' compensation program. The selected firm will take over all existing claims, both open and closed, and every new claim filed during the contract, and will store and manage the claim files, some of which may need to move from City premises to the firm's secure storage. The City employs roughly 661 full-time, part-time and seasonal staff, provides police and other municipal services, and is self-insured with a $500,000 retention per claim and excess coverage through PRISM, whose claims administration standards the TPA must follow. The current inventory is about 96 claims.
