Workers Compensation Third Party Administrator Services
The County of Marin is seeking proposals from qualified third-party administrators to provide comprehensive administration of its self-insured Workers’ Compensation program. Services include claims administration and management, utilization review, bill review, nurse case management, reporting, managed care coordination, fraud detection, litigation management, settlement administration, subrogation identification, financial accounting, and regulatory compliance. The selected firm will manage both new and existing claims in accordance with California Labor Code requirements and the PRISM Workers’ Compensation Claims Administration Standards. The County employs approximately 2,832 regular employees and additional extra-hire staff and volunteers eligible for coverage. The contract term is anticipated to begin July 1, 2026, for an initial three-year period with two optional one-year extensions. The County seeks a proactive administrator capable of delivering high-quality medical management, cost containment, strong return-to-work coordination, data security, and responsive customer service to injured workers and County stakeholders.
