Western Washington University (WWU) is seeking a qualified investment advisory firm to provide ongoing advisory services for management of the University’s operating and related investment portfolios. The selected consultant will support the strategic management of cyclical operating cash balances ranging from approximately $60 million to $125 million, as well as additional housing and bond-related portfolios. Services include recommending updates to the University’s investment policy, ensuring compliance with Washington State and federal regulations, and aligning investments with socially responsible investing requirements. The advisor will evaluate cash flow needs, recommend portfolio strategies, assist with execution of transactions through competitive dealer platforms, and deliver monthly performance and activity reporting. The consultant will also provide investment education to University staff and conduct annual compliance and policy reviews with administration. The intent is to establish a long-term advisory relationship focused on capital preservation, liquidity management, regulatory compliance, and optimized investment returns.
