WHAT THEY WANT

Clark County Public Works, Washington, intends to award a single as-needed professional services contract for structural engineering support to its bridge and structure programs. The county turns to an outside firm when its own staff lack either the expertise or the capacity for a task, and the selected consultant will work under individually issued Task Assignments that set the scope, schedule and compensation for each project before work begins. To qualify, a firm must have a nationally certified bridge inspector (per 23 CFR 650.305) on staff who will serve as team leader, and proposals must identify that person and their qualifications.
