WHAT THEY WANT

The City of Hanford, California is seeking a licensed real estate appraiser to prepare right-of-way appraisal reports for the properties needed to install a traffic signal at the intersection of 9th Avenue and East Lacey Boulevard. The project is federally funded through a Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) grant covering preliminary engineering, right of way, and construction, so the appraisal work must follow the Caltrans Local Assistance Procedures Manual, Chapter 13, and the federal requirement that property valued over $10,000 be handled by separate appraisal and acquisition consultants. The City is issuing separate agreements for appraisal and for acquisition; this solicitation covers the appraisal side, and acquisition of any property is expressly excluded from its scope.
