The department operates nearly 60 facilities, including jails, the coroner's office, headquarters, regional substations, a crime laboratory, a technology center, harbor patrol, a training center, shooting ranges, warehouses, remote communication sites, airport hangars, and administrative offices, and needs outside support to help its staff deliver capital and maintenance-repair projects on schedule.
