WHAT THEY WANT
The City of San José is seeking a vendor to provide a secure, enterprise-grade platform that uses artificial intelligence, machine learning and multimodal large language models to help the San José Police Department draft police reports from body-worn camera video, audio and related incident data. The department does not currently use any artificial intelligence for report writing. Officers spend substantial time reviewing footage, recalling events and manually preparing reports after calls for service, which delays report completion, takes time away from patrol and community engagement, and produces inconsistent reports.
