The City of Richland is seeking statements of qualifications from consultants to develop a Downtown Wayfinding Master Plan focused on the Central Business District (CBD) and multimodal transportation, with options for citywide implementation. The effort supports the City Council's goal of a vibrant, active downtown that serves as both a commercial and civic destination and a key commuter corridor, carrying roughly 32,600 vehicles a day along George Washington Way. A 2017 Tri-Cities wayfinding effort produced entrance monuments, but the rest of that plan was never implemented.
