WHAT THEY WANT
Sacramento County's Department of General Services, on behalf of the Department of Technology and in partnership with the County Clerk/Recorder (CCR), has issued a Request for Information to survey the market for an off-the-shelf notification solution that satisfies California Senate Bill 255. Effective on or before January 1, 2027, SB 255 requires county recorders to notify, by mail, the parties executing a deed, quitclaim deed, mortgage or deed of trust within 30 days of recording, and each notice must include the Assessor's Parcel Number (APN). The law also allows recorders to offer an optional electronic notification program, which Sacramento County intends to pursue.
