WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
The Oregon Health Authority, through its Behavioral Health Division's Child, Family and Lifespan Behavioral Health unit, is offering small grants to community organizations for culturally specific youth suicide prevention programming and services. The grants support implementation of Oregon's 2026-2030 Youth Suicide Intervention and Prevention Plan and the agency's goal of eliminating health inequities by 2030. Although Oregon's overall youth suicide rate has fallen since its 2018 peak, that decline was driven by non-Hispanic white youth, while rates for other racial and ethnic groups have risen or held steady, and the state rate remains above the national average.
