WHAT THEY WANT
The City of Culver City, California is seeking a civil engineering firm to prepare a feasibility study and partial design for the Fox Hills Park Stormwater Capture Project (Project PW-011), a multi-benefit regional stormwater project at Fox Hills Park, Green Valley Circle and Buckingham Parkway. The City's Environmental Programs and Operations Division identified the park as a promising site under its Enhanced Watershed Management Program. Roughly 45 acres of neighborhood drainage would be treated through galleries for infiltration, retention or filtration, with captured stormwater and dry-weather urban runoff reused to irrigate landscaped raised medians, offset potable water use, and supply hydrants for City sewer trucks' subterranean jetting. Funding comes from the Measure CW parcel tax and a Los Angeles County Regional Parks and Open Space District grant, covering the feasibility study and up to 30 percent design.
