WHAT THEY WANT
The City of Alhambra is soliciting qualifications from interested, qualified and experienced attorneys and legal counsel firms to provide legal counsel services to the Alhambra Civil Service Commission. The Commission comprises five City Council appointed commissioners serving at the pleasure of the Council, and is convened to hear disciplinary appeals consistent with the Alhambra City Charter, the Alhambra Municipal Code and applicable State and Federal law. To ensure a fair and objective appeal process, the selected attorney or firm serves as counsel to the Commission itself; in those proceedings City Management is generally represented by the City Attorney's Office, and employees appealing proposed discipline are represented by their own counsel. The contract covers services on an as-needed basis with a three-year term and an option to renew.

Qualified attorneys and firms must submit sealed qualification responses to City of Alhambra - City Clerk, Attn: Legal Counsel Services to Alhambra Civil Service Commission (RFP2M25-22), 111 S. Proposals should be a straightforward, concise description of the applicant's firm, background, qualifications, capabilities to satisfy the requirements of the solicitation, and proposed pricing, organized as a bookmarked PDF document containing the prescribed sections including a Letter of Transmittal and Identification of Attorneys.
