The City of Alhambra Public Works Department is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services for the preparation of an Americans with Disabilities Act Self Evaluation Report and Transition Plan. The consultant is expected to perform all technical and other analyses necessary to complete the work, which centres on identifying City programs, activities and services that may be discriminatory to people with disabilities, identifying existing obstacles limiting accessibility, reviewing the City policies, practices and procedures governing administration of those programs, providing a detailed outline of methods necessary to remove program accessibility barriers, conducting an accessibility compliance evaluation of City buildings and park amenities, and preparing the final Self Evaluation and Transition Plan.

Interested and qualified firms must submit five copies of their proposal plus one PDF file on a thumb drive to Melissa Ramos, Deputy Director, Public Works Department, City of Alhambra, 111 S First Street, Alhambra, CA 91801. Questions should be directed to Melissa Ramos via email at mramos@alhambraca.gov, writing 'ADA Assessment' in the subject line; all questions must be submitted six working days prior to the proposal due date. The solicitation and its attachments are posted on the City's website under City Bid Notices/RFPs. Proposals must detail the firm's approach, understanding and scope of services, and key management and technical staff positions. The City will interview and rank consultants, then negotiate final scope with the highest-ranked firm.
