WHAT THEY WANT
The City of University Place and the City of Ruston, Washington are jointly seeking qualified attorneys, law firms, nonprofit entities and public agencies to provide public defense services for indigent criminal defendants charged by either City in Pierce County District Court. The Cities want a primary public defender and one or more conflict counsel providers. Firms may propose for primary services, conflict counsel, or both, but a firm can hold only one of those roles under the resulting contracts, and the Cities intend to consider multiple firms for conflict work.

A proposal sent only to University Place or another official is not deemed received. State whether the proposal covers primary defense, conflict counsel, or both.
