WHAT THEY WANT

(Summarized from the RFP)

San Bernardino County's Department of Public Works – Special Districts, acting for County Service Area 42 in the Oro Grande area, is seeking qualified hydrogeologic and engineering design firms to replace Wells No. 3 and 4. The district supplies water and sanitation service to Oro Grande residents from four wells along the Mojave River. Wells 3 and 4 must be replaced because per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) exceed regulatory limits, and a regional hexavalent chromium plume must be considered when choosing new locations. The existing wells stay in service until the replacements are built, tested and commissioned, then are to be abandoned under state and County standards.
