WHAT THEY WANT

(Summarized from the RFP)

The County of Alameda General Services Agency, Building Maintenance Department, is seeking a qualified consulting firm to perform a comprehensive condition assessment of the elevators at three County buildings in Oakland, California, and to develop and help implement a plan to modernize them. The buildings are 1106 Madison Street (two hydroelectric passenger elevators, built 1999), 1111 Jackson Street (three overhead traction passenger elevators, built 1970) and 1401 Lakeside Drive (four overhead traction passenger elevators, built 1982). The County does not know when the elevators were last modernized and wants a turnkey approach that identifies all infrastructure work needed to deliver modernized, code-compliant elevators acceptable to every authority having jurisdiction.
