WHAT THEY WANT
(Summarized from the RFP)
Nevada County, through its Department of Public Works, is seeking a single engineering firm to deliver design services for the replacement of the Rock Creek Road at Rock Creek Bridge (structure 17C0057). The existing bridge is a single-lane, load-restricted steel girder and timber deck structure built in 1920, and its tall vertical abutments constrict the flow of Rock Creek. The County wants a longer, single-span, two-lane bridge and would like to avoid building new abutments in the creek if possible.
